We were approached by Five Winds International to develop a web site which would facilitate simple web site management. Launched on February 5, 2010 the new Five Winds International web site now allows internal staff to manage all content and navigation through a simple web-based Web Content Management System (‘WCMS’) powered by spark.
Along with the ability to manage general paged content the WCMS also allows Five Winds International to manage categorized content such as a Blog, news, events, publications, tools, staff and clients. The automated systems only require a staff member to enter an entry in one place and have it reflected on the web site based on content tagging, publishing dates and other filtering options.
Other automated tools which are part of the WCMS include Search Engine Friendly URL’s and an automated XML sitemap – these sitemaps can be submitted to search engines such as Google in order to ensure proper web site indexing. An automated Really Simple Syndication (‘RSS’) feed was also added to help broadcast new web site content.
Aside from the technology we worked with Five Winds International to update the look and feel of the web site. Using our proprietary web design process we were able to provide Five Winds International with a web design which meets all web site requirements with a focus on content visibility and navigation.
